Canyon Country

My next stop is Moab, UT, which is the location of many canyons.  You can see how different things look here.  It was sort of amazing that this morning I was in snow, and now I am in 85°F temperatures.  This is a photo of me in front of Delicate Arch located in Arches National Park.  People used to be allowed to walk across this arch but some years back a huge portion of the inside of the arch fell, so now no one is allowed to walk over or under the arch. Because of weathering, the arches do collapse from time to time, so someday this arch will be gone.  I am so glad I got the opportunity to see it. Oh, on the hike to the arch some people from Holland invited me to join them on their trip home. After some thought I decided to continue on my tour of the US and hope for another opportunity to visit Holland.
