The final stop of our vacation was at Badlands National Park in South Dakota. The Badlands are made up of deep canyons, towering spires and flat-topped buttes. Lots of geologists come to this area because of the interesting land formations. This is also an area where lots of fossils are preserved showing signs of ancient plants and animals. An Indian tribe called the Lakota has always lived in this part of the United States and this park has special meaning to that tribe. There is so much more I could tell you about my travels, but I think I have already written enough. Looking forward to my next adventure. Sending lots of hugs your way!
