Dublin Summer
Posted July 1st, 2009 by DaisyAbout time I visited my friend Sammie again - and this time the weather in Dublin was so pleasant that we were able to spend a lot of time in the garden. Here I am sitting on my favourite chair (I wonder why....). I thought I'd treat you to a stylish b&w shot this time. Hope you're having a nice summer.
More soon.

Nice breeze in Hamburg
Posted May 10th, 2009 by DaisyHello everybody,
I wish I had enough time to get on one of those boats and feel the wind in my fur, but I have a train to catch that will take me back home to Berlin. A little tired after the previous night's birthday party at a friend's house, the fresh air does me a lot of good. My stroll from the railway station to the Alster - glistening in the late afternoon sunshine - was definitely a good idea! More from my next travels.
Death and the Maiden
Posted April 29th, 2009 by DaisyHello everyone,
Hope I didn't scare you with the title of my message - I was just so enthralled by the beauty of the string quartet. Here I am with my dear friend Humph in Vienna in Schubert's house. A little gem of a place where you can get completely lost in music. Watch out for the Erlkönig.....
Visit to Phoenix Park
Posted January 5th, 2009 by DaisyA delightful sunny morning in Dublin's Phoenix Park - and there's no better place for breakfast than the lovely Tea Rooms. Although it's quite cold we stay outside, as we would like to keep Sammie company (she is also a friend of Humph, by the way).
The staff of the tea room know why they don't let her in - she would eat all the delicious ham sandwiches.....
Off to the Liffey later - have to check out the Ha'penny Bridge!
Music rules the world
Posted December 29th, 2008 by DaisyBack in Trier for Christmas, I refuse to have yet another photo taken with an ancient Roman building as backdrop. I've always liked this music fountain so I take the opportunity and sit down for a little respite from a busy shopping day. Oh come all ye faithful.....
Roman Holiday
Posted November 19th, 2008 by DaisyCiao de bella Italia. I managed to land on this really nice balcony with a view. How nice it is to have a little Roman respite and get away from the grey and cold November in Berlin. Humph and I met up again and are currently working out where to go in the afternoon. Unfortunately, bears are not allowed to hire a vespa to whizz around town - so we'll take a walk to the Villa Borghese to see Bernini's and Caravaggio's beautiful works of art, followed by a stroll through the park. With all the wonderful food on offer, a little exercise can't do any harm to keep in shape.
We are really lucky with our host and feel privileged to share a few happy Ikea moments with him. And I managed to create some lovely bubbles in his dishwasher......
So I recommend you pack your bags and take a http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jPIaPZfv3GQ
Kunst in London
Posted November 4th, 2008 by DaisyAh London - breathing the air of this great city early in the morning is one of the best things in the world.
Naturally, I had a coffee in Bar Italia (no sugar....) and read the papers. A visit to the National Theatre to see Ralph Fiennes (FINALLY!), a stroll through Bloomsbury, a lovely lunch at the Japanese centre, scary (Tarantula!) and dreamy moments at the Tate Modern - what more can a lady like me want from a visit to London? Well - one of the best views in town from....no, you have to find out yourself.
Cardiff - city of bears
Posted November 4th, 2008 by DaisyMy first trip to Wales - and much to my surprise I discovered that Cardiff was a real bear hub. Many of my friends have left their mark here - and as the photos taken of me on the Severn Bridge all look a bit blurry, I would like to show you some of the nice bear impressions I came across on my long walk through delightful Edwardian shopping arcades and leafy parks. I even found an animal wall with a really wonderful looking bear - I would have liked to ask for his name but he wasn't in a chatty mood.
Indian Summer in Dahlem
Posted September 26th, 2008 by DaisyHello from Berlin-Dahlem on this beautiful Indian Summer day. I got on my bike to visit the horses and cows - unfortunately the latter were nowhere to be seen. They were probably chewing on their lunch....I paused for a little balancing exercise. Yoga with conkers is very hip in bear circles these days - you should try it!
Daisy at the Black Gate
Posted September 21st, 2008 by DaisyI recommend a train journey if you want to visit the oldest town of Germany. The beautiful views of the Mosel valley and the steep vineyards (producing the best Riesling in the world if you ask me) are not to be missed.
I went for a leisurely Sunday stroll to the Porta Nigra - nice backdrop for my velvety red rose, don't you think? Trier is full of old buildings from Roman times - shame those baths no longer work. Would be rather splendid to spend an afternoon there....
I have landed
Posted September 6th, 2008 by DaisyMy name is Daisy and I've just landed in this flowerpot. When Humph visited yesterday for tea and told me about his journey, I decided to go on a trip myself. Being a rather old-fashioned lady, I wasn't sure whether I'd fit in with the other teddys but I was reassured that it wouldn't be a problem. I received my passport and was chauffeured to the airport - all very exciting! The flight here was a bit bumpy, but Humph's directions to the pilot of my very noisy propeller plane were spot-on, so he managed to drop me on the right balcony (naturally with a parachute - they make really nice ones for bears these days). Fingers crossed for some sunshine as I'll be going on a picnic later.
