Studying hard in Oldenburg
Posted March 31st, 2010 by kdala2478I followed Birte home to Oldenburg, where she's studying.
I actually tried to help her with her bachelor thesis in biology, but it's quite hard for a rat! She's working with carnivorans and i tried to sort out some skull details on this raccoon skull, but it was not so easy. I don't think i will study, i wanna travel!
So now i'll try to find someone who can take me to more exciting places!
Carnival in the forest kindergarten
Posted February 17th, 2010 by kdala2478After I came to germany, i visited a special outdoor kindergarten, where the children are in the forest the whole day. It's so amazing there now with all the snow. The north of germany is known for it rainy winters but this winter is completely different. On monday the 15th is carnival in germany and also in the forest kindergarten.
It took quite a while for me to find a costume, but in the end i decided to have a partner costume with Birte. She was Captain Bluebear and i was Hein Blöd, two figures from an animated german tv-series.
South of the arctic circle
Posted February 8th, 2010 by kdala2478My first step to exploring the world led me just a little bit lower of the arctic circle, still in swedish lapland, still snow, still cold. I visited a friend, fed the birds in the garden, played in the snow and drove on a spark-sled.
I enjoyed my stay here very much, such a cozy place. But now it's time to really move on!
My home in swedish lapland
Posted February 8th, 2010 by kdala2478Hello,
my name is Johan Aslak, i'm a norwegian rat coming from the far north of europe, swedish lapland. Here i've lived a life in the wilderness, drove snowscooters, dogsleds, digged in the snow, saw northern lights and have been a wild rat. Kieppojoki is the name of a small creek, where i was born. In the closeby Snowtrail dogcamp i used to help and stand in the way. The dogs have always been my best friends.
Now it's time to move on and see some more things in the world. It's too big and exciting to stay in one place. I'm really looking forward to my journey now!
Hejdå!
