Brookdale's adventure so far...(2004827)

 

 On Saturday morning, Lilith and Brookdale went to Tae Kwon-Do at Pensby Boys' School

We went on a bike ride with Brookdale bear, i used the straps to hold him still and keep him safe on the front of my bike. He had a good time. We then went to Nathans for tea, and Beavers.

Brookdale bear came to the childrens hospital with me, and the nurse looked after him. She said we were both brave and well behaved.

 

I was very proud and excited to bring Brookdale bear home with me. We played snakes and ladders with daddy. Brookdale bear won, i came second and daddy lost.

On Wednesday I took Brookdale bear to school and he helped me with some work. Mrs Ritchie let me do some P.E with him.  On Wednesday night I took Brookdale bear to trampolining club.

 

Becky was made up to bring Brookdale home.  He went to JAM Club with Becky on Tuesday where he helped make a hot rock, Brookdale Bear helped to make the patterns on the rock with help from Becky!

When we got home, Becky got Brookdale ready for bed in his football pj's.  Becky then read a story to Brookdale bear together with all her other teddy bears!

Brookdale spent the week with Josh. He did lots of fun things like watch Josh at football training and win the football match on Saturday. Brookdale liked watching Josh at swimming lessons, he wanted to join in, but he forgot to pack his swimming costume! But his favourite thing was going with Josh to the Crocky Trail in Chester. There was lots of fun things to do, like sliding down the big slides or trying to get across the bridges without getting knocked off!  They walked along the trail, beside the stream. There were lots of different bridges, made out of planks, metal chains and old tree trunks that were really tricky to climb across. There was even a rope swing to swing across the stream you had to be careful not to fall in! Josh loved spending the week with Brookdale bear and will miss him very much.

 

 

Brookdale went to Stage School with Caitlin where she helped him learn the dance routine. But he kicked too high and fell over and we all said "poor Brookale" and he laughed.

 

At bedtime I got a book out and read a story to Brookdale and he really enjoyed it so much he nearly fell asleep so I snuggled him down into bed.  Brookdale snored all night!

 

 

The first day Caitlin brought Brookdale home from school, she took him to Ewan's birthday party.  They had loads of fun and took this picture to show everyone what a great time they had.  Brookdale ate lots of party food and ice cream and felt very full afterwards. 

 

 

 

 

 Betty, Alfy's big sister, gives Brookdale Bear a big hug and a kiss for being so well mannered and such a good guest. Betty says that Brookdale is welcome to come and stay anytime! 

George, Alfy's big brother, wishes he could stay for the weekend and have some more fun with the family. George is sad but knows Brookdale will be missing the children and teachers at Brookdale school.

 It's Brookdale last night staying with Alfy so we all go to The Twelveth Man restaurant in Greasby for our dinner as a treat. Alfy and Brookdale have fish & chips with peas from the menu. MMMMmmmm it smells very yummy in here.

 

 After school, on Wednesday, Alfy and Brookdale get down the big toys from on top of the wardrobe. Brookdale likes watching Transformers 'V Bot' change from a remote controlled car to a fierce robot woth cool moves. Alfy shows Brookdale his helicopter, bin wagon and tank - Mummy finds Polly the hamster and lets her crawl into the bin wagon and out again. She quite likes it in there and doesn't want to come out. It was very funny.

 

 Night Night sleep tight Alfy and brookdale - I hope you have both brushed your teeth!

 

 Alfy grew this sunflower in year 1 with Miss Cotterill - look how it's grown! It's nearly as big as him. It has no flower yet though.

 Alfy brought Brookdale home from Mrs Ritchie's class and was really happy to have him to stay for a few days! Alfy and Brookdale had a celebratory swing together on the hill in Windsor Close.

 
Hi everyone! I had a good time when I went to Kyle's house. He introduced me to all his teddy friends and especially army bear. Army bear is like me but green and black. We went out for a walk to the beach in West Kirby. Kyle let me and army bear play on the scooter and then we had a ride on his bike. Then we went back to Kyle's house to have our tea. We had Kyle's favourate dinner which is pizza and for pudding we had icecream. After our tea Kyle wanted to show me his games on the WII Fit. We spent all night playing on this and trying to get fit. Kyle was so tired he fell asleep cuddling me and all his favourate teddybears. I have now come back to Kyle's house for the second time and I am playing with all his cars and his brother Kieran. We are going to park gate now for our tea and we are going to get an icecream and then search for snakes in the grass. See you later

 

What a busy weekend!

 

 

 

Well I was really excited to go home with Rebecca this weekend as she told me that she was taking part in a Big Race with all her mums friends from work called Race For Life.

.When we got to Birkenhead Park I felt a little bit shy , as the park was filled with hundreds of women and children all dresses in pink !!! We did some warm up exercise's and then we were off.

On the way around the 5k circut we bumped into Evie and her Mum :) we had great fun doing the race and at the end Rebecca got a goody bag and a medal.

We were glad to get home and have some lunch as we were starving !!

In the afternoon we went to Gordale Nursery on the Chester High Road as they were having a fun day,we saw Shetland Ponies,and lots of different types of owls . Rebecca and her sister Isabelle spotted a bouncy castle and we all had a great time climbing,sliding and bouncing around. Just before we went home we decided to have a look at the snake and reptile show . Rebecca was asked if she wanted to hold a snake, and she did !!! Im glad they never asked me .

I have had a lovely time at Rebeccas house hopefully I will be able to visit again soon

 

This week Brookdale came to stay at Emily's house. We had lots of fun, but Emily had a busy week.  On Monday they went straight home from school, Emily and Grace played on their bikes before having tea. At bed time Emily gave Brookdale his very own toothbrush and they all brushed their teeth together.

On Tuesday Emily took Brookdale into school for the day to help her with her work. They worked really hard and after school went to Paintbox, the after school club, as Emily's Nannie was away on holiday. Brookdale had loads of fun making pictures and badges and played lots of games with Alan too.  Emily showed Brookdale the height chart at Paintbox and helped him record his height on there too!

On Wednesday, after Paintbox, Emily and Brookdale helped her Dad make a delicious tea. It was Daddy's special stir fry, his favourite. Yum! After tea Emily read Brookdale a book. The Twits by Roald Dahl.

On Thursday Emily had a really busy day. Straight after school she went to Sports for All, then came home and did some homework before she went to Swimming club.  Brookdale sat with her mum and dad to watch her. She is a really great swimmer and has a lovely pink hat!

Phew what a busy week! Emily really loved having Brookdale to stay and was sad to see him leave, but hopes he'll visit again one day soon :-)

 

 

I didn't type anything because we had a busy day yesterday, the weather was so nice Lucy's dad cut the grass in the garden so we could all play out it was such good fun, we played in the little house and bounced on the trampoline and guess what, Lucy's very silly dog likes to get on the trampoline and bounce, it's really funny and he has been very good and hasn't tried to bite me once which we are all very happy about. We all had an early night because bouncing tired us all out but we were allowed to watch a film in bed again as a special treat.

Today is Sunday and it is Lucy's birthday (she is 7) and her mum's birthday (she won't say how old she is) and Father's day, everyone got up early to open presents, some were even bought for Lucy's brother Ben as "just because" presents or he would have been left out. Lucy showed me all her presents and we had a nice morning playing with them. At lunchtime we went to see Lucy's Nana and her Uncle John for even more presents, we even had a sandwich while we were there. I was quite tired from all the excitement at Nana's house so I came back to Lucy's house with her mum while Lucy, Ben and Lucy's dad walked the dog. When they got back we played in the garden for a little while before it was time to get ready to go for a special birthday dinner, we collected Nicole and went to a restaurant called Frankie and Benny's, after our dinner and some ice-cream Lucy had a birthday cake with a bear on it (that looked a little like me). It was very late when we got home so Lucy's mum got us all ready for bed as we have to be at school in the morning. It has been a lovely weekend (if very busy) and Lucy and her family have said they will miss me when I come back to 2R and the best news is I have got through the whole weekend in one piece, I think Lucy's dog must have liked me!!!

 

 

Today I came home with Lucy, it's a very exciting weekend for Lucy because it's her and her mum's birthday on Sunday, Lucy told me we are all going out for dinner on Sunday with Lucy, her mum, her dad, her little brother Ben, Nicole (from school)  and her Nana.

I met Lucy's dog Jerry when we first got to her house, Lucy's mum warned me if Lucy was busy then I had to sit up high because Jerry likes to carry (and chew) teddy bears and we certainly don't want that happening to me.

Lucy found me an outfit to put on while Lucy's dad cooked tea and then after we had eaten she made me 2 bracelets to wear, I think I am going to put them in my bag so that all the other children can see them when I visit them.

Before bed we were allowed to watch Scooby Doo cartoons which really make Lucy and her brother laugh, then we had to go to bed because we have a busy weekend, Lucy's mum let us watch a film in bed about some little furry animals called Chipmunks.

I don't know what we will do tomorrow but we will definately take some pictures then Lucy's mum or dad are going to help us put them on here for everyone to see.

 

Brookdale spent the May half term with William.

Before we went away Brookdale was treated to a visit to Royden Park to pick up litter with William and his Beaver Pack. He also spent some time meeting William's friends Zack and Max also cousin Stuart.

William packed his bags for his holiday at Cente Parcs and Longleat Safari Park.

His first stop was a walk around Stonehenge after a 6 hour drive.  The next day was spent exploring Longleat Safari Park and Brookdale made some new friends. He fed the Deer and played with the Meerkats.

We then went onto Centre Parcs and this is where Brookdale spent most of his time swimming in the pools, doing a bit of water sport he even had a go at archery. 

William had a lot of fun with Brookdale and was sad to hand him back to Mrs Ritchie upon his return to school.

 

Brookdale came to my house and met my friends Charlotte and James who live next door, we all played out on our scooters and had lots of fun.

On Sunday Brookdale had a lovely time at Joel's house, we went to the Blue Planet Aquarium  , he got to see lots of different fish, sharks and spiders. Brookdale was very brave, he was not scared of the spiders or the sharks but Joel was very scared of the spiders and screamed!!!

On Tuesday it was my mums birthday, she got lots of lovely presents and me and Brookdale had a lovely pieace of chocolate cake yum yum said Brookdale!!!

I will miss you Brookdale, i hope you have a lovely time at William's house.

 

 

Brookdale and I have had lots of fun while he has been to stay. We went swimming to West Kirby Concourse and afterwards we were very hungry so Mum took us to the cafe for Hot Chocolate and a Chocolate Brownie each. At home, we played on the Trampoline together and had some of Mum's yummy cake.

 

I had a lovely weekend brookdale bear came to stay with me. He slept with me and I put his pyjamas every night. On Saturday it was my birthday party and brookdale came to play planet with me. He sat at the table with me and my friends while we ate our dinner and played in the play area with us.We where very tired afterwards.I had a lovely time with brookdale bear thank you for coming to stay brookdale bear

I had lots of fun on the weekend with Brookdale.On Saturday we went to see Ted the horse and then spent the afternoon in the garden with my brother Matthew. On Sunday we took my remote control boat to hoylake for a sail. In the afternoon we went to Royden Park for a ride on the trains.On the way home we got an ice cream. we enjoyed having Brookdale and hope he can come to stay again soon.

Me and Brookdale Bear went to London at my cosins house it was greatso great on Saturday it was cosin Cathys party it was fanticaticthe cake taste brillant I thought it was great on Friday the cake looked coolBrookdale Bear looked as well he said it looked greatBrookdale Bear danced with mewe ate and drank together and we played hide and seek together we had a very great time at London.

 

me and brookdale had a great time at rascals playcentre, my friend dylan came with us. we went on the slides and in the ball pond. we even met leighton there. we had so much fun brookdale didnt want to go home.

hi everyone, I spent a few days with Jamie and we had a great time. 

when we had got home from school we played on the wii for a while, then after our tea we went to beavers and played lots of games. when we got back we did a jigsaw puzzle Jamie had got for Christmas, then it was time for bed.

we also went to Jamie's cousins 21st birthday party, and we danced and played with all of Jamie's other cousins, WOW what fun, but we're very tired the next morning as it was quite a late night for us.

On Sunday we went to Jamie's nan's for a few hours in the afternoon, we had our tea there, FUN FUN FUN .

 

 

 

When Brookdale Bear came to my house we had lots of fun.  We went to the library and read some books.  We went and stayed the night at my nan's house with Nicole.  We had our tea which was gammon and pineapple and played with some toys then we went and watched a DVD in bed then we went to sleep.

It was bonfire night so we had fireworks at our house which was good.

Mum was going to take me and Brookdale and Katie to Tam O'Shanter's farm on the Saturday but it started raining so we had a picnic on the floor and then played games.

Brookdale came to stay with me. We watched Pink Panther and Pals cartoons. Brookdale had a go of playing the guitar. He also came to tea with me and my friend Jamesy and we had McDonalds. Brookdale liked the strawberry milkshake alot! Brookdale also played a silly game with me and you had to put a post-it note on your head! We had lots of fun when Brookdale came to stay. I am looking forward to Brookdale coming to stay with me again. Love from Leighton.

 

We went to the park and Brookdale bear helped me climb the Spiders Web we also  got really dizzy on the roundabout. On Thursday it was my brother Harrys birthday. We went bowling, Brookdale Bear helped me get a spare. After bowling we went to Pizzahut. we both ate Pizza and lots of icecream with sweets on top. I really enjoyed having Brookdale Bear coming to stay we had lots of fun.

Brookdale and I watched Brookdale F C play a football match on the school field. We then went home and had my favourite dinner... Fish fingers, chips and peas. We then meet up with Elliott and went to JAM club for some singing, games and craft.  I then introduced Brookdale to Fluffy, Daniel and William and read them all a bed time story. Good night.

On Friday when brookdale came home with me it was my birthday weekend.

We all went to Play Planet with some friends from school and had a great time climbing and sliding down the super slippy slide !!!

We all sat down for birthday tea and when the cake came out we all sang Happy Birthday and watched Rebecca blown the candles out :O)

When we got home we all had a great time opening all the lovely presents.

The next day Rebecca took me to Meols park and i had a lovely time .

When Brookdale bear came home with me it was my birthday party with some of my friends from school. We all went to Play Planet and had a great time climbing and sliding down the super slippy slide.

Brookdale Bear came to my house to play.  He met my brother Alex, my Mum and Dad and my dog Eddie. 

On Tuesday evening he had tea with us.  He had fish, chips and peas and thought it was yummy.

He had great fun playing with my teddys.

On Wednesday and Thursday evenings he came to my Tae Kwondo training sessions.  He helped me do my new pattern Joon Gun and I helped him speak Korean.

I hope Brookdale Bear will come to visit me again.

Brookdale came to visit on Friday. Brookdale came with me for tea at my friends house - Rebecca who lives in Oxton. On Saturday my sister and I had a swimming lesson and Brookdale came with us in his scooby doo shorts and Mummy let him borrow her goggles. Brookdale helped me make scrambled egg and beans and he thought it was tasty. Sunday we went to Birkenhead Park to a fair and Brookdale went on some rides with me and my sister Grace. Brookdale held a snake it was white. My sister took him for a ride outside in her dolls pram. We loved having Brookdale to stay, I hope he can come back soon.

 

I have had a great few days with brookdale bear.

He has met all my family including my favourite cousin daniel.

We have been on a bike ride with my mum and we have also been to mcdonalds for our tea.

My friend leighton from school also came for tea and played with brookdale bear aswell.

Brookdale bear has been very well looked after and has also been to bed with me every night

Now Brookdale is back at school to meet his new class.  All of the children were really pleased to meet him and can't wait to take him on lots of new adventures.

 

 

 

Ella and her family took me on holiday to Tunisia.  It was VERY hot!

 

 

Brookdale really enjoyed the time he spent with Anya in the summer holidays.

 

Anya took brookdale to Greece for his summer holiday.  He had great fun.

 

Its just as well I didn't have anything to eat before the party as Rachel's mum found me a nice bowl of fruit to munch my way through after we'd been running round and climbing. I've got my eyes on a couple of the sausages too. Yum yum in my tum!

I went with Rachel to Beavers too. This time we were growing lettuce so I helped Rachel fill up her cup with special soil then our Beaver Leaders put some lettuce seeds in so we can grow them at home.  'Lettuce' hope Rachel's mum remembers to water the seeds!

 

 

You might not be able to see me here, but I'm tucked under Rachel's arm at her birthday party at Silly Billys. What a party... we danced and jumped about, I was exhausted! I recognised alot of Rachel's friends as I've stayed with them too.

Rachel's brother Matthew couldn't go to the party as he got chicken pox the day before so he had to stay home with his Auntie Tricia.

 

Brookdale came with me to the hairdressers before my party. He nearly asked for some pink slices and a perm. Luckily our hairdresser 'KC' persuaded him not to go ahead and that his natural curls were'bearfect'!.

Phew....

 

 

 

Me and Kate are going dancing. It was great fun. I loved the cartwheels best.

 

It was a great holiday but now it's back to Palma and then home again. Can't wait to show the children at school my new hat.

 

We loved this city. We went down a long road full of people pretending to be statues.

 

We took a walk around the old town and went up a really steep hill to the church.

 

We collected stones off the beach and had icecream.

Hello...Its Amelia's birthday..and today we went to the yard, and guess what was in the stables...meet Kizzy....  Amelia's new pony. What a lovely suprise. Amelia took me around the yard for a special treat on her new pony to celebrate her birthday.

 

Hurray....Look at me riding Kizzy...Amelia was very kind to let me ride her new pony...Amelia will have to take lots of lessons before she can ride Kizzy...and it will be a lot of hard work looking after a new pony. Amelia is a very very lucky girl.

 

On Amelia's Birthday we had a tea party at  her daddy's house...we can have special treats..because it's a special day today.

 

Yummy.....birthday cake....one of my favourites....don't forget to invite me to your party aswell....I am very well behaved...

I loved edinburgh i even saw a man playing the bag pipes :D Before we went to the castle we went to a park it was great it had big slides, spinning climbing frame and lots more!!!We then went up a massive hill to get to edinburgh castle but it was worth it the castle is amazing!!!! After that we went to a childrens toy museum it was very interesting. There was lots of dolls and me and Anya even dressed up in old fashioned clothes.

The next day we went to a farm it was great. We went to a play area, on a train, we did an egg hunt and even saw baby lambs.

Today has been amazing!!!! I had a great day in school with everyone in 2R and then the best thing happened to me  Anya got told she could take me home with her. We got out of school and were greeted by Winter Rose (Anyas cousin), Ashlea(Anyas sister) and Nikki (Anyas mum). We then went to Ellies Bar with Jess and Morgan. It was great i enjoyed my Hot Chocolate with Anya. Then we came home. You will never guess what..... Anyas got a DOG. Its great its called Poppy. Me and Poppy have just been playing with her bone. I have just had a great big hug of Winter and i am now sat on Ashleas Knee. I cant wait to go to scotland with Anya and Ashlea.... See you soon.

 Here we are in Lancashire where my cousins live.  We went to Guys Thatched Hamlet and walked along the canal and saw the ducks and swans.  It was a lovely sunny day.

 

 Here we are at the canal stood next to a barge called "Tor".  We had a lovely day and enjoyed spending time with my cousins, Nathan and Harry.

 Me and Brookdale went to see my cousins who live in Lancashire.  We went to Guy's Thatched Hamlet and walked along the canal.  We saw barges on the canal and swans and ducks.  It was a lovely sunny day.  After that, we went into the village of Garstang and had a picnic and played in the park.

 

Wednesday 24th February 2010

Had a great nights sleep in my own 'bear sized bed' with another ted called Ashley. I slept next to William and was woken upin the morning by a black and white cat!

In the morning, I spent time at Will's mums work - a beautiful hotel surrounded by a park. I looked out of the windows and saw a big stretch of water and some land beyond that - 'What a view!'

The corridors were dark wood and the doors were creaky. I tried out a four poster bed, sat at a table in a fine resturant and helped show the receptionist how to improve her work! The ride home in a rucksack was a bit bumpy, Will's mum was rushing on her bike and didn't slow down for the bumps!

 

Emily got a pink TV for her birthday, she was kind enough to let me watch it. We watched Aliens in the Attic, together. Then i met another bear called Ellie, who lives with Emily.

 

After all the party games, Emily and her friends took me to Brownies. I met Brown Owl and a fireman came and told us all about fire safety.

 

After all the food we ate for our birthday tea, we did a bit of exercise and played musical bumps, it was great fun, but i didn't win.

 

I had to help Emily blow out her candle as she didn't have enough puff.

 Brookdale Bear has been skiing with me in Sagnalonga in Italy, where we had great fun in the snow.

 

Despite the cold weather in England Brookdale has been told he might be going somewhere even colder on his next holiday.  Everyone in Year 2 hopes he will wrap up warm.

 

Just before Christmas Brookdale went to Portugal with Morgan.  He got to meet some of Morgan's family and seemed to enjoy a bit of warmth on his fur before settling down for a cold winter back in England.

 

I was having fun at PE but I got a bit tired.  I liked the jumping best and managed 24 jumps in 30 seconds.  Everybody said I was cheating when I balanced because my bottom was resting on the floor - but I can't help having a big bottom!!

 

Look at me playing "Doubles Splat"  It was SO fun.  I nearly beat the class champion Keiron, we drew on a few rounds but eventually he was just too quick for me.  I really must keep practising my doubles so that if I get a chance to play again I can  be crowned the "doubles master"!!!

 

Assembly was a little bit scary today.  There were loads of children all looking at me, luckily Nathan was there to look after me and tell me how to behave.  We had to sit very quiet and not talk.  Miss Cotterill told us a story and we sang a song.  I actually quite enjoyed it in the end.  I am learning a lot about year two by spending the week with Nathan, they certainly do work hard!   

 

Here I am eating my lunch with the boys.  We are having beans, potato and sausages.  It was very yummy.  The dinner ladies thought I was going to make a mess but actually I tried hard to use my knife and fork and I didn't make too much mess.  Playing out after lunch was really good.  Nathan can run really fast, I was puffed out trying to keep up with him.

 

Our job today was to use different coins to make a value.  It was quite tricky but Nathan was very good at it, so he helped me a lot.  I am having great fun spending time in year 2.

 

It's been a long day and we are both tired..

James read me a story and we then I went to sleep (to dream of being a spaceman, or bear!!)

Went went to Jodrell Bank today, where there is a huge space telescope.....

 

We walked around it and I felt very small. A man called a scientist said "we could look at stars and planets thousands of miles away" when I grow up I want to be the first bear in space.

 

 

It's Saturday morning and James and I have gone to football training at Pensby school. I met Iain (the football coach) who said I need alittle more practice before I can join James' team!! maybe I could go on a Wednesday, to ball skills in school?!

 

 

Today we went to the cinema (James' sister is 9 today). James, Ellen and their Mummy & Daddy took me to see Avatar in 3D, we all had to wear funny glasses. It was a long film but I only had to go to the toilet once!

 

 

After playing with James I met some other bears - they were cool!

One was an army bear called Panzo and he had an army tent! The other belonged to Ellen (James' sister) and she was dressed to impress! I tried the skate board out and the others let me use a helmet - we all had a good laugh..

 

Today I went to James Lloyd's house and he let me play on his Wii (this was great fun!!), James told me he had an older sister who also went to Brookdale called Ellen and that it was her Birthday tomorrow - she was going to be 9 years old!

 

Its the start of a brand new day...today I am with Amelia, we have had plenty of rest before our busy day.

I am going to Liverpool with Amelia & her daddy.

But before for that , a little bird has told me we have a suprise waiting for us ?  ?

 

I do love a picnic....today I am with Amelia at her daddy's house . Before our busy day we are all having a special treat for me being Amelia's special guest for the weekend.

 

Today I went to the Liver Building with Amelia & her Daddy, It is on the waterfront next to the river mersey.

If you look at the very top of the building above the clock , you can see one of the liver birds.

It is a very busy place and it has lots of shops and a museum. it has lots of visitors each year

I am sitting on a post box,and if you ever visit the Albert Dock and send a post card to your friends,this is were you will post it.

 

 

This is a very big building...It is very near Amelia's daddy's house and she see's it every time she plays out there.......it is built on a hill and is the highest point in Liverpool.

It can be seen for miles & miles around.

It has 13 huge bells and the biggest one weighs15 tons and is called "Great George" and they are all very very loud.

 

Me & Amelia went to visit china town in Liverpool, it has a huge gate at the entrance.

It is was put up to celebrate Liverpool's chinese people, it is the oldest chinese community in the UK.

And the china gate is the biggest gate in europe and out side of China.

 

Next we went to see one of Liverpool's biggest animals The Superlambanana, it has been in Liverpool for many years It has moved around the city many times and it has changed colour many times.

It is half lamb & half Banana,You may remember seeing all of his little mini-lambanana friends all over the city last summer.

 

Today I visited Liverpool with Amelia and her Daddy. we went to the Liver Buildings in front of the river mersey. If you look at the top you can see one of the liver birds above the clock.

 

Next we had a game of hide and seek at the Ark play area.  I found a brilliant hiding place in a hollow tree stump.  It was warm and comfortable in there and I didn't want to come out!  But it was nearly time to go home so I had to.  I have had a lovely time staying with Ethan and his family for two weeks over the Christmas holidays.  On Monday I will be a bit sad to say goodbye to Ethan and go back to school as we have had so much fun together, but I am looking forward to my next visit with somebody else from year 2.  I wonder who that will be?

 

Ethan let me test the pond to see if the water was frozen solid.  I got a very cold bottom, and Ethan was very sensible and stayed off the ice.  But we did have fun smashing it!

 

We had a good view of all the animals because the zoo was not busy.  We sat on a baby elephant, but it was only a model.

 

On the very first day of 2010 we went for a day out at Chester Zoo.  We had to wrap up warm because it was really cold out, but the sun was shining and we enjoyed the fresh air.  I went on a little train ride with Ethan and Abi.

 

Ethan's other cousin, Adam, had a tiny new kitten called Gladys.  It was sooooo cute and soft.

 

Cousin Jake's gorgeous new puppy, Marley, was very playful and kept trying to nibble my ear.

 

We had a game of pool.

 

On boxing day we drove to Yorkshire to visit Ethan's mum's family.  We had a lot of fun playing with Ethan's 6 cousins from Wakefield.

 

As it was Christmas Ethan's dad let me have a sip of his beer, but I didn't like it.

 

We had Roast Turkey and Mince Pies with Ethan's dad's family in the pub.  We pulled Xmas crackers which had silly jokes and hats in them.

 

There was even some presents for me!

 

We woke up at 5.45 on Christmas morning.  Ethan and I went into Phoebe and Abi's room and we had fun looking at the nice things that Santa had left in our stockings.  A bit later we were allowed to go downstairs to check if there was anything else.  It was a big surprise when we saw a big pile of presents round the Christmas tree!

I think Ethan and his sisters must have been extremely nice this year because they got a lot of lovely presents.

 

Just before bed on Christmas Eve we left out some Bailey's and a mince pie for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph  We hung up our stockings ready for Santa to fill up with presents.  We were all really excited and went to sleep dreaming about what presents we would get in the morning....I heard Santa's sleigh bells in the distance too!

We all had some yummy ice-cream in the interval.

 

The panto was very funny!! We booed at Captain Hook and clapped when Tinkerbelle was poisoned so she came alive again.  Peter Pan was a girl, and the nanny was a man dressed as a woman.  They squirted water at us, and threw some sweets at the audience - Ethan caught one!!

 

The pantomime was Peter Pan, and some people off the telly were in it.

 

On Christmas Eve we went to the Liverpool Empire theatre.

 

The orchestra played loads of merry Christmas tunes and we all song along and even danced a bit!  Santa and Frosty the Snowman made a visit too

When we woke up there was snow on the ground.  So we got dressed straight away and went outside to play at snowballs and building a snowman before breakfast.

 

Ethan has been really looking forward to having me as a guest over Christmas.  He introduced me to some new friends, Froggy and Mr. Alien.  We all setled down together for cosy sleep.

 

I had a great time with Kate staying over at her Nanna's house with Emily and Alex. At first I was a bit scared of the big labradors, Poppy and Daisy, but they are really friendly. I helped take them for a walk with Grandad - it was cold.

 

 

I had a great time with Kate at Beavers. We made Christmas decorations and played ball games.

 

 

I really enjoyed sleeping in the bunk bed but it was a bit of a struggle for me to get to the top. Kate and Emily helped me up.

I took Brookdale to the shop at the end of my road when I went to buy some coke with my mum

 

I took Brookdale to jam club with me on Tuesday night where we played Rabbits Rats and Trash together

 

After our train ride we went for a walk and fed the ducks. We had to be careful not to stand too close to the edge of the water. Rachel's mum gave us some bread to give to the ducks and when we threw it into the water they all came paddling over to eat the bread. They all quacked very loudly. After we'd fed the ducks we came home for tea.

There was a new Doctor Who on tonight, so we all settled down to watch it. It was very good, although there was one bit I couldn't bear to look at. After it finished Rachel and I went to bed.

Rachel and her family took me to Royden Park today for a walk. Whilst we were there we went on a little train thats does trips in the park. It was great fun, the engine was red and we all had a great time waving to the other children and trains that were going along the track with us.

After Beavers I didn't want to take Rachel's woggle off so she let me keep it on. After meeting Matthew, Rachel introduced me to Scotty dog. He was relaxing on the settee after a walk with Rachel's daddy so I had a rest with him. We'd done quite alot of running round at Beavers and my little legs were tired.

 

I came home with Rachel this weekend and met her family. I went to Beavers and when I got home I had my photo taken with Rachel and Matthew. Rachel let me wear her woggle.

The beavers group wrote letters to Santa tonight, and Rachel added a note for Santa to tell him I'd like a book and some sweets. I wonder where I'll be on Christmas morning, I've been very good this year and hope Santa leaves me a present.

Brookdale is back at school now for a night after having a busy few weeks with Amy, Lauren and Billy.  I wonder where is adventure will take him next.

It's been a busy evening so I'm having some milk and biscuits with Billy before I go to bed.

 

I made a hat in Jam Club. I needed some help because my paws can't hold crayons very easily. I got a yellow smiley sticker for good behaviour. They said I was the best behaved bear they had ever had!

 

I've come to Billy's house for a few days. On Tuesdays, Billy goes to JaM club, and I've come with him. I'm excited about meeting Billy's friends and doing lots of fun activities

 

Brookdale and I have had a busy weekend. Night night.

 

Sunday evening we went to Heather and Charlotte's house for a fireworks party.  We both enjoyed watching the fireworks. We sat outside all evening, Brookdale needed a cuddle as some of the bangs were very loud.

 

Brookdale came with us to choose some new fish for our tanks.  We looked at all the fish in the shop before we agreed it took a long time.  We had a lot of fun watching the fish in the tanks. i bought one for Brookdale but as he travels around so much we thought it would be better if it lived at our house with my fish, Brookdale thought this was a good idea.

 

I took Brookdale to my Karate lesson this morning, He decided that he wanted to watch us train instead of joining in. I did try to teach him a four move cata but he kept falling over.

 

Today we all went to Adventure Land in New Brighton to Millie's birthday party. We had lots of fun, Brookdale enjoyed the big slide the most. He had lots of fun, but he fell asllep in the car on the way home.   

 

Also on Saturday morning Brookdale, Luke, Mummy and me went to pick up all the Scout post boxes, Brookdale helped me to carry a 300 sheets of scout stamps to the car. Luke carried some green bins and Mummy carried the red bins.

 

On Saturday morning Brookdale, Lauren and Luke went to the Greasby Library, first I showed Brookdale around the library. Then Brookdale told me that he liked the look of a book so he said can we have that book please and I said yes. Brookdale also liked the joke book that I choose. Brookdale thought that Luke was being a little bit silly.  Brookdale helped us both to choose our books.  Brookdale would have liked to stay longer but we couldn't.

 
Brookdale Bear came with me and Mummy to swimming. He watched me while I had a swimming lesson, He thought I was really good. He also liked when my teacher Mike cuddled him

 

On Saturday night it was halloween night so Amy and Brookdale went to Anya's party. All the girls had a lovely time and so did Brookdale when he was trickle-treating. Now it's time for Brookdale to go back to school to see all the other children and Mrs. Ritchie and plan another adventure. I hope you like my pictures with Brookdale. I can't wait to have him again. Now Brookdale is back in England, he is having last couple of days with Amy. On Saturday he went to watch her horse-riding. Brookdale rode for a little bit on Paddy, but Brookdale thought it was quite scary.

 

This is Brookdale's last night of his holidays, tomorrow he is going back to England. Brookdale and Amy can't wait to see Amy's dad.

 

One evening Brookdale helped babi and Amy to make a lovely cake.

The snow was very cold, I did not like touching it with my paws, but Amy had lots of fun throwing snow-balls.

 

I also went for a nice walk on a mountain I even saw some snow.

 

I had lots of fun swimming with Amy and deda, the only trouble was after the swimming  I had to sit on the radiator to dry off.

 

Every night I went to bed with Amy and I dreamt about all the other children from her class and what they are all doing.

 

Every morning I had a lovely breakfast in the hotel,which filled my belly really nicely.

 

After the swimming I saw a lovely water fountain and also had some coke in the restaurant. Yumee!!!

 

 

Today Amy took me swimming with babi. It was a lovely pool with lots of bubbles.

 

 

I met Amy's dog Pepper, she was very friendly towards me.

 

 

Today I went to the pictures with Amy and her friend Emily to watch Alliens in the Attic. I had a lovely time.

Now I am back at school I can't wait for Amy to take me home as I have heard we are off on another holiday.  This time to a place called Czech.  I love holidays.  I am so glad I got to come and be part of Class 2R.

 
I was really excited to have Brookdale at my house. I have been looking after him well and he has been sleeping in my bed. We went bowling and Brookdale was on my team. My little sister Eloise won but we still had a good time. We shared some candyfloss in New Brighton too. Brookdale has made lots of new friends and a new girlfriend as well. At night he sometimes comes to life and has party's and picnics with all the other bears in my room. I will miss him when he go's back to school.

 

 

Keiron was very excited to have Brookdale bear to come and stay with us.  He has taken very good care of him.  Brookdale has made lots of new friends and even a new girlfriend.  Brookdale enjoyed going bowling even though both Brookdale and Keiron were beaten by Eloise.  Brookdale also enjoyed sharing some candyfloss in New Brighton. 

Keiron says Brookdale comes to life at night and runs around having teddy bear party's and picnics with all the other bears in his room, so watch out if he comes to your house as he can be a bit mischieveous. 

 

I am back at school now after being on holiday with Hannah.   All of the children and Mrs Ritchie and Mrs Jones were really pleased to see me.

 

On September 4th October I went on my holidays with Hannah to Spain, we went to a place called Salou. We had to get up really early in the morning at 4am to go to Liverpool airport. Both Hannah and I had not been on a plane before and we were both very excited. Hannah had to go through a beeping machine and I had to be x-rayed and you could see what was in my tummy. The airplane was very big and it made our tummys go funny whan the plane took off. We arrived in Spain and it was very hot.We then got the bus to our hotel. Our room at the holel was great and we had a balcony.

We did lots of things in Salou, we went to the beach, made sand castles and went swimming in the sea. I did lots of sun bathing, Hannahs mum put lots of suntan lotion on us so we would not burn. We went out in the evening and had childrens cocktails with fancy straws. We went to a theme park called PortAventura, and we got the bus to the next town to visit the local market. We went on lots of walks and ate a lot of food.

On the 9th September we had to get the plane back to Liverpool airport. I was very sad to leave Spain because I had such a good time. But I know I have more adventures to come.

I have had a good time at katie's house and she has looked after me very well! I met katie's rabbit Emily and she gave me a good sniff. I had my dinner with katie's family and I ate it all. At night I slept in a cot by the side of Katie's bed but in the middle of the night I got a bit scared and I climbed into bed with Katie! I will be sad to say goodbye to katie but I am looking forward to my next adventure.

Today Mrs Ritchie has brought me back to school.  On the way to school we had to stop to get some petrol, Mrs Ritchie said if we didn't then we might break down and the children wouldn't have a teacher today.  I secretly thought that the children might think this was a good idea but I didn't tell Mrs Ritchie this.  I am so excited about meeting the children.  I hope they are all as good as Mrs Ritchie has told me they are.

Today Mrs Ritchie took me to her friend's house.  I played with Ella.  She is two and is very cute.  We played with her toy zoo animals and her Sylvanian Family house.  Then we sat down and had our snack, we both had water and banana.  I had a great time visiting Ella.

Mr Ritchie decided that I should have a bit of quality time with him today so he told me he would take me out for a round of golf.  He said I could only go if I promised to be quiet, but for a teddy like me that is quite tricky.  I tried my best though.  Mr Ritchie said I was very good and even helped him to find his ball a few times when he hit a less that perfect shot.  He thought I could have a career as a caddy.  I didn't fancy that much as it was far too energetic.  I think in future I'll stay home with Mrs Ritchie and the dogs.

 

25th September 2009

Today Mr and Mrs Ritchie took Grace and Olivia and me out for tea at a restaurant.  Grace was very kind and shared her fish dippers wth me.  Olivia had curry which really smelled a lot so I didn't fancy that.  I sat beautifully on the table and didn't make a fuss.  Mrs Ritchie was very proud of me.  She said I had been so good that I could share the chocolatey dessert that the girls had ordered.  My, oh my, it was the most delicious thing I had ever tasted.  I have decided that my new favourite food is most definitely chocolate.  Mrs Ritchie says I take after her!  I liked Grace and Olivia very much.  They were very good at helping to look after me and I would like to go and see them again.

I am still having a good time at Mrs Ritchie's house.  The dogs are getting quite used to me and they even let me have a little bit of their food last night, it wans't the tastiest thing I have ever eaten but it was kind of them nevertheless.  When Mrs Ritchie came home from school today she took me out in the garden and I helped her to pick some tomatoes.  She told me just to pick the bright red ones as the green ones were not ripe yet.  When she wasn't looking I sneakily ate one, I think she guessed though because I had red juice dripping all down my snout.  Oops.  I'm looking forward to tomato soup for tea.

Oh dear, my good day just got a little bit worse.  Having met two calm quiet dogs I was suddenly pounced on by an orange monster.   Before I had a chance to introduce myself this orange wriggly thing opened his mouth and started barking at me.  It was like nothing I had ever heard before.  Luckily, Mrs Ritchie was there to protect me.  She told Scrumpy to be quiet and he soon stopped barking but I don't think he liked me very much.  Mrs Ritchie wanted to take a photgraph of me and him together but he didn't fancy that so he just sat on the floor in the middle of the kitchen.  I think I'll keep clear of Scrumpy he seems a little bit too crazy for my liking.

Aaah, I have just made another new friend.  This one is much smaller and multi-coloured.  Mrs Ritchie says his name is Simba.  Simba is five but he is not much bigger than me.  He is very calm and mellow and just wanted to lie next to me on the sofa all the time.  I like him very much.  I am having a great time at Mrs Ritchie's house with all of her dogs.

Shadow is Mrs Ritchie's biggest and oldest dog.  He was very nice to me, he sniffed me a bit and then sat down next to me so that we could have our photo taken.  Mrs Ritchie told me that Shadow is a very good dog who loves sleeping and eating.  I thought he sounded like just the sort of friend I needed because they are my two favourite things too.

 

23rd September 2009.

Today was a good day.  Mrs Ritchie decided that she would take me home to her house.  I had to go in her car so she put the seat belt on me to keep me safe.  It didn't take too long to get to her house and I was very excited by the time I arrived there.  She told me that there were three real furry moving things at her house who would be very pleased to see me, I thought she meant teddy bears but she said they were called "dogs".

Today was my very first day at Brookdale School.  I arrived  at school in a big, brown cardboard box.  The first person I saw was Mrs Ritchie, she was very excited to see me and told me she had been expecting me.  She carried me into the staff room so that I could meet all of the other teachers.  It was a bit scary in there and smelled a lot of coffee!  Anyway, I am really looking forward to meeting all of the children.  Mrs Ritchie mentioned something about a teddy bear's picnic which sounded rather fun.
