Woody tames Tibbles!
Posted August 14th, 2008 by WoodyI've been to Stubbington on the south coast of England to visit my family. While I was there I met Mr Tibbles. Did you know that cats have 32 muscles in each ear? Not this one though because he once had a little accident with a kitchen cupboard and now his right ear is a little worse for wear!
I like pussy cats!
At the airport
Posted July 16th, 2008 by WoodyFinished work and now we're heading back home to London. Schiphol airport is nice - look at this great statue!
On the road again
Posted July 16th, 2008 by WoodyWe're just driving to Zevenbergen in Holland for a bit of work. I've been navigating using 'Jane' the sat-nav. It's much easier than using a traditional map!
A weekend visit with family
Posted July 13th, 2008 by WoodyWe're having a lovely weekend in Stone in Staffordshire (England) visiting my grandparents (Ethne and Joe). Stone is an old canal town and in the photo I'm sitting on a lock on the trent and Mersey canal in front of our house. The locks are used by narrow boats to go up and down hill. These days the canal is used only for pleasure and today there are many people going by in the colourful painted boats enjoying their summer holidays. What lovely countryside there is here!
All work and no play...
Posted July 11th, 2008 by WoodyI'm in the office in Lausanne and I can see is beautfiul sunshine and clear blue skies through the window. It's not really a day for being indoors! I wish I was out there relaxing on a nice little sail boat bobbing along on Lake Geneva. Maybe on my next trip to Swizerland I'll plan in a bit more time to enjoy myself, but for today it's back to work. Ho hum...
Now it's Istanbul not Constantinople...
Posted July 11th, 2008 by WoodyHere I am in Istanbul. This is the view from the balcony of the hotel down towards Taksim Square and then the Bosporos in the background (including ship!). I've had a lovely time here, although some of it was work (sigh!). We've bought hazelnuts and some traditional Turkish sweets to take home to England. Turkey produces over 70% of the world's hazelnuts and I think they taste absolutley yummy....especially in a chocolate cookie!
Land Ahoy!
Posted July 4th, 2008 by WoodyOn the boat
Posted July 4th, 2008 by WoodyWell we're back on the ferry from Dunkirk (or Dunquerque if you're French...which I'm not!) and heading home to England. Hope I don't fall overboard!
No mustard in sight
Posted June 29th, 2008 by WoodyIt's such a long drive back to England from the south of France so we've stopped off for a night in Dijon. In the morning we had time to stroll around the lovely old town...but no sign of the mustard which Dijon is so famous for!
C'est la vie!
Posted June 29th, 2008 by WoodyA week of sun, sea and swimming as we relax at a friend's house in the village of La Croix Valmer, on the south coast of France near St Tropez. Goodness it's hot in this fur coat!
A visit to some distant relatives
Posted June 26th, 2008 by WoodyFinally we're on the road!
Posted June 26th, 2008 by WoodyWe have lift off!
Posted June 10th, 2008 by WoodyI've just arrived in London by magic and I'm sitting waiting for my new owner to collect me from her desk. I wonder where she'll take me first. More news to come!
