Rugby in Paris
Posted June 10th, 2010 by Andrew CrozierOne reason why I was in Paris was because the final of the Heineken Cup rugby was taking place at the Stade de France between Biarritz & Toulouse, sadly my favourite team did not make it this time, still there is always next year. Here I am pictured with fans from both teams before the game, Toulouse went on to win the cup.

happy in a bar
Posted November 5th, 2009 by ogbourne 1I've just returned from a sizzling 2 weeks in Sharm el Sheik . thought I'd get into the swing of things with a hubble bubble pipe . (they're called something else but I can't spell it ). A few cocktails to go with it and i was soon in the holiday spirit. No camels or pyramids or sight seeing of any description on this holiday so lets hope my next companions do something other than sit by the pool or snorkelling ! I think I'm off to the Costa del Golf next time .

Oggy and Friends Return Home
Posted May 24th, 2009 by Andrew CrozierWell, after recovering from jetlag I can now bring you up to date with the final part of my American holiday.
On our last day in Chicago (22 May) we made the most of our time buying last minute souvenirs etc. and being a friendly bear I managed to get my picure taken withn a very nice Chicago policeman after that it was off to the airport for our flight home to the UK.
I have had a wonderful time over the last two weeks with my travelling companions Janet, Andrew and Tigger they have taken me everywhere but I really am looking forward to returning to the pub and my shelf behind the bar, I could do with a long rest before my next adventure.
See you all soon.

Oggy & Friends Go West
Posted May 22nd, 2009 by Andrew CrozierHere's the news about Oggy you have all been waiting for, travelling on from Michigan last Wednesday 20 May your favourite bear has travelled further west than ever before and has now arrived in the windy city of Chicago.
The internal flight went well and we arrived around midday in 80 degree heat although there was a cooling breeze, after lunch on the way we headed off for the city centre and our hotel accommodation, our room is on the 16th floor of a 24 storey hotel.
Today 21st May with the limited time we have in Chicago we decided to fit in as much as possible in one day so we started with a 30 minute boat trip along the shoreline of Lake Michigan then followed that with a one hor boat trip on the river.
Stopping for refreshments first & something to eat we then set off for at trip on the 150ft high McDonalds Ferris Wheel and finally took a two hour bus trip around the city, following all that I was exhausted and was glad when I was able to get back to the hotel and crashed out while my two companions went off for an evening meal.
The temptation during our stay in the US has been to over indulge in food and drink but I have managed to eat sensibly and maintain my weight and figure which between you and me my travelling companions have been unable to do and I think they will need to diet on their return home.
Tomorrow 22nd May is our last day therefore my last update will be posted following our return home, look out for the photos which will be added on our return as long as Andrew can understand what to do, it took him half of our holiday to understand how to place a "blog" on the website. Still they have bothg been good to me and taken me everywhere so I can't complain.
I look forward to seeing you all again at the pub.
Oggy & Friends Travel Update

Look out for futher updates from this amazing bear.

Oggy Goes to America
Posted May 17th, 2009 by Andrew CrozierOn 8th May Oggy and friends flew to to the US with Virgin Atlantic. He decided he ought to check out that the pilot knew the way to Washington DC so a quick trip to the cockpit was his first destination. Oggy took Washington by storm visiting all the major attractions including the White House. After four days he was on his way again heading west for a new adventure. Watch out for further updates on his colonial adventure.

I'm standing on the statue to the legend of Ignas and Lina that gives the town of Ignalina its name. Looking across the lake, still frozen a bit, to the woods beyond. Sadly, very few if any real bears live in the woods in Lithuania.

I've just got off the train in Ignalina after a 2 hour train ride from Vilnius. Ignalina is the centre of the Lithuanian Lake District. There's also a nuclear power station near here that the EU aren't too keen on.

On Gediminas Street in front of the parliament on a sunny spring afternoon, quite nippy in the breeze though. Gediminas Street is the main street of Vilnius with the parliament at the west end and the cathedral at the east end.
Holiday in Lithuania
Posted April 14th, 2009 by ogbourne 1Here I am in Vilnius just around the corner from where I was staying. The stone I'm sitting on marks the position of one of the barricades which once protected the parliament building, which is in the background on the other side of the river Neris, during the struggle for independence in 1990 - 1991.
